This photograph recently won second place in the First Annual Alternative Photography Contest sponsored by Photographers Formulary in Montana, USA. The Formulary hosts workshops in the summer and fall that are a wonderful experience. They are located in the Swan Valley and the scenery is breathtaking. I continue to play with my Holga Camera (inexpensive plastic toy camera) and am enjoying using a vintage Rollei (twin lens reflex) that a friend has lent me. The Rollei and Holga both produce square negatives however the Rollei is a much more sophisticated camera that produces high quality images. I still am fascinated by the quirks of the Holga and the resulting soft focus images that have vignettes but I love working with the Rollei also.

I am continuing my exploration of the Lith printing process. I will be adding a web page to this site soon documenting the process I use with links to suppliers in case any of you would like to try this process. I recently recorded a podcast on the process for the wesbsite www.photograpy.ca

One of my Lith images is included in Tim Rudman's World of Lith Printing Book. Tim literally wrote the book on Lith printing and will soon have a new website going live that will be devoted to his work and will also feature a gallery of other Lith work created around the world. www.timrudman.com

I will be updating my exhibit, purchase and links pages soon and will be adding new images to my galleries.

As always I welcome you to call/email to make an appointment to visit my studio/gallery located in the historic Grafton Woolen Mill Building, Grafton, WI. I do not have regular hours there as I am often in the darkroom or rushing out to chase the light with my cameras but I would happily meet you there if you want to stop by.
